Somehow it came to my mind, that I want to make some noise with my Raspberry Pi. The only thing, I found, was buzzing with the PWM Signal. I realized, that something very important was missing: A Sound Device, e.g. the 6581/8580 SID (Sound Interface Device), that was build in in my first Computer, the Commodore C64. Later on, in one of my first “real” PC, there was nothing like that, but it was possible, to update the device with a dedicated Soundcard. In my case, it was the Soundblaster 1.0, that used the Yamaha Soundchip YM3812. So it should be possible with the Raspberry, my thoughts. I did little bit of research and with this new Knowledge, I went shopping through the Internet.

Sadly, the central Component is still missing: The YM3812 itself. It will be shipped from China, so I have to wait.
